I knew this wedding was going to rock. These folks are my roommates and my good friends.
Any further validation of this event kicking ass was done by simply driving there. The event location: Los Olivos, CA. The drive: the scenic Hwy 101, Hwy 154, and Figueroa Mountain Road. Beautiful day, great excitement in the air. Here is a pic to gander out while I furiously edit the barrage of images I captured that day.
Once again, it’s catch up time. In the month of March, I witnessed a spectacular wedding. These two are a match made in heaven. The bride picked a wonderful theme that was able to give everyone a clear insight to how thoughtful this couple really is. From the colors, to the centerpieces, you name it. This kind of creativity is really inspiring. Most of all, it was fun for all. Everyone had a great time. The honored couple, the family, guests, and the talent brought in to help everything perfect. Good food, great beer, great times were shared by all. The only thing missed was Agnus the cat.

After several business trips, I finally get to post these. I couldn’t wait to come back home and sort through and pick a few pics to throw on thee ol’ blog.
There are many reasons why this wedding is special to me. But the main reason is that Rachel is a good friend of mine. We all miss her since she moved, but everyone is elated every time she visits.
On top of that, almost everything went perfect. The location was simply awesome, all weekend I got to hang out with my good friends, Ben and Dan. On top of that, I saw a few folks I don’t get to see that often.
The only slight downside to the weekend was the harsh lighting. Fortunately, some covered areas were able to provide a bit of diffused lighting. There was still a need for some direct sunlight photos, but I think they turned out great.

Since I am catching up on posting 2008 weddings, all things past must go vintage. So here is my take on Kelly and Ryan’s wedding. I am so thankful I am allowed to hone my skills with somebody’s special occasion. As Kelly and Ryan already have their albums fabulously done by Harvard, I attempt to interpret my captures of the day in a variety of vintage themes. Some are 60′s, 70′s and others are just made up just to invoke the rustic feel.

I know, it’s a little late to start updating my 2008 weddings. Febtober (Febraury in Sean Connery speak ) of 2009 is almost over, and I have lots to upload. So if you are reading this for the first time since last summer…get a cup of coffee and hunker down to see what I have been up to.

My 2nd Wedding of 2008 is here. After a much needed deserved monitor calibration, I am a little more confident of uploading images. The verdict is still out, so a few prints must be made to validate the settings.
